Pakistan Federal Government Pay Calculator 2026-27 (BPS-2026, 7% ARA)
Work out the monthly pay of a civil employee of Pakistan's Federal Government from 1 July 2026: basic pay in the Basic Pay Scales-2026 for your scale and stage, the Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2026 at 7%, your General Provident Fund subscription and income tax, and what you take home. Type your old BPS-2022 basic pay to see your new basic pay on the same stage.
For federal civil servants who moved to BPS-2026 (the default unless you opted to stay in BPS-2022). Frozen allowances, such as house rent and earlier ad-hoc relief, differ from person to person: type them from your pay slip.

Assumptions (6)
- A federal civil servant paid in BPS-2026 from 1 July 2026, not one who opted to stay in BPS-2022.
- Basic pay = minimum of the scale + stage × increment; stages above the maximum count as personal pay.
- The Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2026 is 7% of basic pay, rounded to the nearest rupee, and is taxed.
- Income tax uses the salaried slabs for tax year 2027 on twelve equal months, before any tax credits.
- GPF is the uniform monthly subscription for your scale (O.M. of 13 August 2026).
- Other allowances and deductions are only what you type from your pay slip.
Show working
- Basic pay = minimum of your BPS-2026 scale + stage × that scale's increment (O.M. of 21 July 2026, para 11).
- Stage from BPS-2022 = (old basic pay − old minimum) ÷ old increment; the new basic pay is on the same stage (point to point, para 3).
- Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2026 = 7% of basic pay (para 6).
- Gross = basic pay + Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2026 + other allowances you type.
- Income tax = the tax year 2027 salaried slabs on (gross − tax-free part) × 12, divided by 12.
- Take-home = gross − GPF subscription − income tax − other deductions.

An officer in BPS-17 with 5 increments and Rs 30,000 of other allowances on the pay slip.

| Of which tax-free (optional) | Rs 0 |
| Deduct General Provident Fund (GPF) subscription? | Yes, the uniform rate for my scale |

| Gross pay per month | Rs 109,918 |
| GPF subscription | Rs 7,619 |

Questions (6)
What is BPS-2026?
The new Basic Pay Scales for federal civil servants from 1 July 2026. They replace BPS-2022 and merge in the Ad-hoc Relief Allowances of 2022 and 2025, which stop on the same date (Finance Division O.M. of 21 July 2026).
How is my new basic pay fixed?
Point to point: you keep the same stage (number of increments above the minimum) that you had in BPS-2022, in the new scale. Type your old basic pay and the calculator finds your stage and new basic pay.
What is the 7% Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2026?
7% of your running basic pay in BPS-2026, from 1 July 2026. It is taxed, it is paid during leave and LPR (not extraordinary leave), and it does not count towards pension, gratuity or house rent recovery.
Why did my house rent allowance not go up?
Paragraph 7 of the O.M. freezes every allowance worked out as a percentage of pay, including house rent, at its level on 30 June 2026. The Ad-hoc Relief Allowances of 2023 and 2024 also stay frozen (O.M. of 4 August 2026).
How much GPF is deducted?
A fixed monthly amount for each scale, set by the Finance Division on 13 August 2026: for example Rs 5,962 in BPS-16 and Rs 7,619 in BPS-17. It is worked out on the mean of the scale at 3% (BPS-1), 5% (BPS-2 to 11) or 8% (BPS-12 to 22).
Does this apply to provincial employees or autonomous bodies?
No. It covers federal civil servants. Autonomous bodies that use the federal scales in full also get the 7% allowance (Finance Division O.M. of 27 July 2026), and provinces announce their own pay.
